Wearable Bolus Injector
InsuPress is a smart and inexpensive wearable bolus Insulin Injector designed for developing countries like India. The drug delivery is completely mechanical, to keep the cost down (Validation cost for electro-mechanical drug delivery is insanely high). It's a reusable device (by replacing the cartridge). It has an AI driven data logging and analytics system for detecting hyper/hypo glycaemia. This device is a part of diabetes management system.

Personal Contribution: Co-Development (team of 2) of the mechanical delivery mechanism (both reusable and disposable) that does not violate any other drug delivery IP, Development of a low-energy bluetooth data logger that connects with the app on the phone. (Work done for Mediscient Devices Pvt. Ltd.

That's me trying out the 3D printed prototype on myself

The device was designed to be also used as a standalone device like Insulin Pens for when the users are at home and lazy to wear it.

The device was essentially designed to help working professional manage their diabetes without any hassle and embarrassment. Usually they have to go to the washroom each time they want to inject insulin through an Insulin Pen. While using this device, they can just press the button to deliver the insulin. On each press, 2U of insulin is injected in their body.
Another disadvantage of using Insulin Pens is that patients have to keep puncnturing themselves with a needle but with InsuPress, the patient just needs to puncture themselves once a day and the needle stays inside the body without any harm as it is a 32G needle which is only 0.235mm in diameter.
