This is a needle safety device for pre filled syringes. This device is designed for Pharma companies that have expensive filling lines setup for glass pe-filled syringes but now after 5-10 years wish to incorporate Needle Safety Mechanism.
This device is a 3 part device (including spring) + the prefilled syringe. A new filled syringed straight out of filling line can be easily assembled with this device. After the dose is complete, a sleeve comes out at the bottom as shown in the image. This acts as the needle safety.
Personal Contribution: Co-Development (team of 2) of the Needle Safety Mechanism and Prototyping.
